Guerlain’s Shalimar Eau de Parfum is the first oriental perfume in history. Developed by Jacques Guerlain, the fragrance daringly used Ethylvanillin and was blended with Jicky Accord. Shalimar is a mythic scent with fragrance notes of Bergamot, Iris and Vanilla; an intense awakening with a touch of impertinence, and a hint of the forbidden. Inspired by the passionate love story between an emperor and an Indian princess, Shalimar, means “temple of love” in Sanskrit and is a fragrance of desire.
